Steve Petty and Tim Lynch have done it again! During ORSCA's last race of the year the Lynch Mob qualified 3rd on a 4.467@174.03 pass which reset the ORSCA 1/8th mile MPH record at South Carolina's "House of Hook".

After facing some stiff competition from the likes of Mike Hill which resulted in their setting a new world record of 4.39@173.83! Next they faced off against Jack Barfield in his 762 ci 2002 Camaro in the final round. When the tree came down Barfield cut a better light, but could not hold off the 604 CI Twin Turbo machine of Lynch's which put up another new Outlaw 10.5 World record, 4.367@172.87 against Barfield's very respectable 4.483@161.77 pass.

It didn't take Steve Petty long to get a handle on the new motor combination after switching from a SBF earlier in the year. Their first success with the new motor yielded a new Outlaw 10.5 1/4 mile World record at the 2006 Shakedown at E-Town race with a 6.666@215.96 pass. More driveshaft problems at Orlando cost them a chance at a repeat win, but they came back with all gun's blazing for the ORSCA race and it shows!

Congratulations Steve Petty, Tim Lynch and the entire Lynch Mob on your new World Record performances from all the folks here at Neal Chance Racing Converters.

"Turbo" Todd Kitchen has won the MAKO 2006 World Wide Musclecars Outlaw 10.5 Championship after a long racing season. Todd faced a difficult year during 2006 with fire, plenty of parts breakage and the terrible loss of his Dad, "Pops" Kitchen. We're sure "Pops" has a smile on his face seeing the car going down the track and winning the championship! Even though he can't be there in person, we all know he's there in spirit.

Congratulations Todd on your Championship from the folks here at NCRC.

With such dominating performances, Manny easily won the NDRA Pro Outlaw RWD Points Championship XBOX Cup. For his efforts he took home a great big $20,000 check for 1st place in points! Not too bad a pay day...especially when you can watch Jello wrestling at the races too!

Kevin McCurdy and his 2001 Pontiac Trans Am took home the 2006 NOPI Tunervision Xbox Cup in Pro Compact including a nice fat $25,000 paycheck.

Pro Compact is somewhat similar to current Pro Mod classes with a few different twists. In this class lightweight means LIGHT WEIGHT.. 4 cylinder 2 power adder combos only have to weight a featherweight 1700 lbs!

Congrats Kevin on a job well done!

Dwayne Gutridge of Toms River, New Jersey recently showed the Drag Radial Class at E-Town "Who's Your Daddy" by mowing down all the competition. Big Daddy put the hurt on Adam Esterlund in round 1 with a 7.70@193 to Esterlund's 8.50@160. In round 2 he spanked Jason Gennaro by a wide margin, 7.554@194.63 to 9.38@147. The semi-finals were more of the same where he smoked Pete Champani's 11.65@84 with a 7.65@194 pass.

In the final round it was a lot closer though, Gutridge meet up with Scott Bitzer in his bad to the bone black Malibu. Bitzer cut the tree down but couldn't hold off Big Daddy's hard charging Mustang. Bitzer lost 7.93@177 to Big Daddy's 7.664@194.63

Congratulations to Dwayne "Big Daddy" Gutridge and his team for your victory!

Todd Tutterow, the 7 time Quick 8 Champion and 3 time Big Dog Shootout Champion recently deceided to switch to a Bruno and a torque converter instead of his normal multi-disc clutch setup. “With all these converter only classes popping up around here, I figured it was about time to try one out.” says Tutterow “As most people know, a good converter is just as important as a good clutch and Marty Chance has given me an excellent piece to work with.”

At Motor Mile Dragway's DOT Class Event, Todd made the switch running a converter in clutch class. Results? 4.11 ET with a 1.00 60', previous best as a 4.13 with a clutch at Piedmont Dragway. Todd also competes the car in ADRL Pro Mod competition.

Canfield Ohio's John DeCerbo normally runs IHRA Top Sportsman, but decided to give the NSCA Pro Street class a try at the August 12th NSCA Precision Turbo Nationals. DeCerbo sent a big wake up call to his fellow Pro Street competitors when he qualified #1 with a 6.473@212.72 pass that featured a incredible .95 60'.

In eliminations DeCerbo put Pat Musi on the trailer in the second round, but red lighted against John Stanley in the finals. You can bet in the future when NSCA Pro Street racers see this 706 cubic inch Nitrous powered '63 Corvette roll in the gates they will be paying very close attention indeed!

Mike "The Hit Man" Hill became the winner of the largest purse in Outlaw 10.5 history at the Huntsville Outlaw Nationals in April. Hill qualified 6th in a field of very, very intense competitors... all with their eyes laser locked on that big prize. Hill faced another NCRC customer, Richard Sexton in the final round and came out victorious with a 4.567@149.50 to Sexton's 4.582@161.12. You can bet the Hill crew did some serious partying after this race and a well deserved win. Big attaboy's to Mike and his crew!

Tim Lynch shuck off a disappointing redlight at the Huntsville Outlaw Nationals, jumped back in the saddle and went back to work at the FFW Texas Thunder Nationals. Even with a hurt motor and a thrash to get the car going, he and Steve Petty put the awesome Ford back again in the winners circle with a 7.123@207.11 in ProCharger Street Outlaw.

The Lynch Mob then backed up the win again at the 2nd Annual FFW Cajun Nationals. The dynamic duo set low qualifier and grabbed the win from a redlighting Chip Havemann with a 7.183@183.72

Lynch is now leading the FFW S/O Class in points chase.

John's car is an Audi S2 Quattro with a pump gas 509 BBC, F3 Procharger, Nitrous and Water Injection putting the power down using M/T radial tires.

If you pay attention at all you know that in the 2005 season there were only 2 cars to run in the 6 second zone. After Bradenton's U.S. Street Nationals and in testing before the race we now can see that this year may be very different. Let's run the list down after just one event...

Petty & Lynch, Richard Sexton, Tom Raines, and David Hance are all now a member of the 6 second club after just one event in 2006. What do they have in common??? I think you know!!! Do you think we will see the top ten cars all in the sixes soon by mid season? You can bet the bank on it.

Thanks again to all the NCRC customers for giving us the chance to work with such dedicated and talented people. And let's see who can top the new National Record of 6.79 @ 214 set by Petty & Lynch once again....

Well here we go again. David Wolfe of Wolfe Racecraft is the man this time. As if you had not heard David is tearing up the Outlaw Drag Radial records and has no intentions of stopping anytime soon. With only a few weeks into the New Year all the action was centered around the U.S. Street Nationals held at Bradenton Motorsports Park. It was hard not to jump on a plane when the testing results started the phone ringing off the wall. New records were coming in about every 20 minutes. But when David and crew kept putting them up lap after lap it was outrageous. Lets see if anyone can top this string anytime soon. 7.53 @ 191.89, 7.56 @ 191, and 7.59. Let's see that's both ends of the record twice and he just threw another E.T. in there for fun right. OK if you can beat that the CHANCES are the you own a Neal Chance Converter as well. If you don't you better pick up the phone and give us a call after all we own most every 7 second drag radial car in the world. It's great to have customers like ours THE BEST IN THE WORLD !!!!!!!!!!!

Look out 200 mph on a radial !!!! Am I insane? You might think so but not if Shannon has his way. I know there is a long way between 192 and 200 but you never know. I bet we see it before we see 2007. Shannon Wren show that his consistent 7 second passes at Bradenton are maybe not the quickest of the weekend but maybe the money and MPH record will soothe his pain. Shannon laid down a 7.678 @ 192.59 mph to qualify the he ripped off a couple more 7's in the rounds to take home the title in the Outlaw Drag Radial class at the U.S. Street Nat's. After setting the #1 qualifier position at Orlando and now the record and win you might not want to take your eyes off of him for too long you might just miss the pass of a lifetime. Keep in mind that Orlando top MPH was in the 180's and just a few months later the 190's. I want to be there when they kick out a 200 mph don't you? Congrats again to Shannon and his crew on the first win of 2006 keep em coming........
