| | NCRC just learned that Steve Fereday and Josh Ledford of Late Model Racecraft set a new World Record for LSX Powered Stock Suspension car at Houston Motorsports Park during the end of November. The new combination in this bad to the bone Camaro went 7.57@189 with a 4.97 in the 8th!
This black beauty is powered by a 408ci LSX engine and a Late Model Racecraft turbo kit, Precision 106mm Turbo, Glide and a Neal Chance Pro Mod Converter on True 10.5 tires. In 2008 the team will be competing in EZ Street and True Ten Five races making things miserable for their competition. Congrat's Steve and Josh on the new record.. sounds like there's a good chance you'll be resetting it again come spring time!
| | | |
| | Joe Newsham, of J & E Performance had an outstanding 2007 race season... Newsham grabbed the track 10.5 championships at both Atco Raceway and Cecil County Raceway. He also finished 4th in the E-Town Ultra Quick 8 series, set both the NSCA Super Street ET and MPH Records becoming the first and only NSCA Super Street Car in the 6's to date!
During one particular hot streak this year Joe raced 5 races in 3 days, qualified #1 at 4, won every race but one where he runnered up AND set low ET and top MPH at each race. Whew.. now that's a busy week anyone would be proud of! Joe's best ET to date is 6.83@217.98 weighing in at 3190lbs and his best 1/8 mile was 4.53@173.48 at the Piedmont Big Dog Shootout in 2006. Congratulations Joe... that's one heck of a season, make sure and treat that Mustang to some goodies this winter for all that hard work she put out! Photo courtesy GoDragracing.com

| | Roxanne Shepard defeated rival Rick Doern in the points battle for the 2007 NMRA Modular Muscle class. Roxanne and her Mustang, nicknamed "Tweety", runnered up at Bowling Green giving her the edge in points to win the class championship!
Shepard also did well in a couple other race series, she placed #6 in NSCA Street Machine and #8 in NMCA Late Model EFI Class. NCRC would like to congratulate Roxanne on a successful season and on winning the Mod Muscle Class Championship!

| | Team Bowman Motorsports couldn't have had a better day than they had at the November 4th PSCA Street Car Supernationals in Las Vegas.
Bowman started out by grabbing the #1 qualifer position with a 7.90@178.66 then proceeded to slaughter the competition with a string of high 7 seconds passes during eliminations which resulted in both the top speed and low ET of the event. In the final round, Dave cut a better light keeping him out of trouble against a slightly quicker Manny Figueroa in a very close race - Bowman went 7.953@178.10 against Figueroa's 7.949@176.14 One of Dave's passes during eliminations set a new World Record on M/T 275 Drag Radials - 7.84@179.92!!! That makes him currently the quickest man on 275's... Congratulations Dave and Team Bowman Motorsports on your win and new World Record from all the folks here at Neal Chance Racing Converters! | | Richard Sexton has won the close ORSCA Outlaw 10.5 Championship. In a close points race with the fastest Outlaw 10.5 cars in the country, Sexton put himself in the lead by winning the final race of the year at Huntsville. Sexton qualified #2 at the race with a 4.43 and swept through the ladder with a bracket racers consistency. Sexton is also this years Orlando Outlaw 10.5 Winner, time to add on to the Trophy shelf!
Congratulations to Team Mobley and Mr. Sexton from all of us here at NCRC!

In the sport of heads up shootout
racing we frequently hear the words "Street Legal" mentioned, but let's face the facts, few
of the cars that run the incredible times at the track are cars that are driven, if ever, on
the street.
Hot Rod Magazine's Drag Week annual
competition calls out to those that want to prove their metal is truly "streetable" with a
1000 mile, 5 track race that in no doubt separates the men from the boys...
Denny Terzich of ProRides proved his 1967 Camaro is both
"Streetable" and incredibly fast beyond a shadow of a doubt at this years Drag Week. Terzich
not only won the competition but is the first to ever run in the 7's at every track! He can
brag all year on the following;
-
Fastest ET = 7.64 in the quarter
mile
-
Fastest Average ET = 7.80 for the
entire week
-
Fastest 60 foot time = 1.19
seconds
-
Fastest 1/8 mile = 4.89
-
Fastest Chevrolet
-
Overall Champion and the "Fastest
Street Car in America" Title
Denny says they used the same Mickey
Thompson ET Street tires the entire week for both running on the streets but also the passes
at the track, his only trouble was one flat tire.
The Camaro was armed with a Neal Chance Stage 3 Pro Mod Bolt Together Converter which also shows
that our converters are not only the fastest available, but streetable too! Congratulations
Denny on your new Title and thanks for choosing Neal Chance!

Grant McCrary and Darrin Hoyle proved unstoppable in the final rounds at
Carolina Dragway's "House Of Hook" on November 4th.
McCrary, fresh off a KOTH victory, took home the win in Outlaw 10.5 against
Grant Thorton in a dual foul elimination. McCrary, the #3 qualifier at 4.429 faced some
close competition in rounds leading up to eliminations.
Hoyle, the ORSCA Limited Street points leader set a new record of 4.75
qualifying #1 in the pack. He faced #2 qualifier Carlton Thompson in the finals who he
easily defeated due to a slower than normal pass by Thompson.
Congratulations to both McCrary and Hoyle on your victories! We would also
like to congratulate Jimmy Blackmon on his new best ET of 4.420 which landed him the #2
qualifying spot.

We recently got news of a new
record set with a Naturally Aspirated LS1 GTO;
"Marty, I set a new n/a LSx GTO
world record with that 9" converter of yours. I went a 10.75@125 with a 1.45 60ft at
WIR."
We just love hearing from our customers,
especially when they have good news to share like this!. Busting records and winning races,
that's the game plan here at Neal Chance Racing Converters!
Congratulations Chris - we're glad you
like your converter!

NCRC is well known for our no-holds barred record
breaking shootout converters but what many racers don't realize is how well our Bracket
Racing Converters perform.
Chris Brown from Wichita KS recently
switched to one of our bracket converters and learned first hand how much more consistent
they are than the others. After making the switch Chris has been to the final round 7 times
out of 7 races, won 5 of them and even runnered up at the recent Million Dollar race! You
might guess that Chris is definitely sold on his new converter setup!
If you're a bracket racer and would like
to hear how Neal Chance can help make your program more consistent, please contact Eric
Gray, our Bracket Converter Guru at 316-542-9869
Congratulations Chris on your recent
performance!

NCRC
Customers had a big day down in Texas at the KOTH race October 21st! In Outlaw 10.5 Grant
McCrary qualified #1 with a 4.445@175.25, #2 Qualifier Richard Sexton laid down a
4.469@166.76 and Tony Johnson grabbed the #3 spot with a 4.478@174.77.
In the finals it was McCrary that took home the big $25,000 paycheck to
Keller, Texas when he defeated #10 qualifier Matt Jones (another NCRC customer) with a
4.501@169.06 to Jones 4.566@161.44
In True 10.5 Eric
Dillard of Woodstock, GA set the pace with his #1 qualifying pass of 4.792@167.36, Kenjo
Kelley was close in the #2 qualifying position with a 4.803@162.04.
In eliminations Dillard maintained his dominance blistering the field with
bracket like 4.7X and 4.8x passes as Kelley drilled his way through the other side of the
ladder. Both NCRC customers made it to the final round where they had $10,000 on the line.
Dillard nailed the tree with a .057 reaction Vs Kelley's .162 which combined with his ET
advantage let him take the win with a 4.778@166.42 Vs Kelley's 4.870@160.71.
Congratulations to all the NCRC
customers on your wins and runner up positions from Neal Chance Racing Converters! It pays to
be part of Team NCRC!

NCRC Customers Steve
'Splinter' Nash and Andy "Frosty" Frost took home top honors in the UK Street Eliminator
class this year. Nash ended the year by resetting the class record with a blistering 7.8408
legal pass on MT Sportsmen Pro tires and outgunned Frost for the points battle to win the
championship.
Anyone that has ran those
Sportsman Pro tires knows they are nothing like a Drag Radial or a Slick, which makes that
ET even more impressive!
Congratulations to Steve Nash
and the Wild Cat Racing Team on your 2007 Championship and ET Record. NCRC would also like
to congratulate Andy Frost on his close runner up in points for the year. Good job
guys!

100+ Degree racing hasn't slowed down the
Bowman Motorsports Team one bit in PSCA Wild Street. Dave Bowman has extended his points
lead by 100 points over his closest competitor, Levi Hanna, by winning the California
Nationals in Fontana and the Labor Day Nationals in Vegas. That's four PSCA wins in 2007 so
far, if he keeps it up he's going to have to add on to his trophy shelf!
PSCA's Wild Street Class is restricted to the Mickey Thompson 275x60 Drag
Radial which makes it a challenge to racers who attempt to run low to mid 8 seconds passes
under a variety of conditions. Bowman has found a winning combination of engine, drivetrain
and chassis that makes him very difficult to beat.
With 3 more races to go in 2007, NCRC would like to wish Dave good luck in
his bid for the PSCA Wild Street Championship and say congratulations on his recent
wins!

John Decerbo won the NSCA World Finals Pro Street Class at National
Trail Raceway September 23rd.
Decerbo, the #3 qualifer had a solid 2-3 mph on his closest competitors,
Jarrod Wenrick and Vinny DeMieri, during qualifying. He was able to improve on his ET during
eliminations where he solidly defeated Wenrick with a 6.37@221mph blast.
That run must have shook up someone in Pro Street as Decerbo was protested
claiming he had a clutch in the car. NSCA officials made him pull the tin work to show he
was running a converter! John finished 11th in NSCA Pro Street Points, not too bad
considering he only participated in two races with the organization.
Congratulations John on your Pro Street win and performance from the folks
here at NCRC!

Marty Chance - aka "da Boss" here at Neal Chance Racing Converters
doesn't like to brag about himself, but we just can't let his recent win in Limited
Street at Ozark International's Fall Street Machine Shootout go without mention.
Street Machines is somewhat like a mini-Orlando here in the Midwest for those
that aren't familiar - it's a big race looked forward to all year by everyone in the area.
The purse isn't big, but the competition is red hot.
This year was out of control again and the house was packed! 22 cars showed up for the
Limited Street (True 10.5) class, with 16 making the field. NCRC Customer Don Erwin in his
evil red Mustang set a new track record in qualifying with a 4.94@158mph which was nuts with
everything he was doing to try and calm the red beast down. Marty wasn't the fastest at the
track with a best of 5.16 (which is real good considering he's using an F1), but no doubt he
had his "game on" as every pass he was taking her straight down Broadway with no crazy
wheelstanding antics many faster cars were fighting. Marty's consistency took him to the
finals where he faced Mike Genovese "Mike G" campaigning a F2 powered SBF Mustang.
Now you had to be there to know how long of a day and how much work both
these drivers had went through to get to this point, it was 4:04 AM on a cold Sunday morning
when these two Mike Duffy built, NCRC converter equipped race cars faced off. Once again
Marty's consistency getting down the track was key as Mike G broke a rearend yoke during a
wheelstand - no doubt he was gunning for the win with all he could throw at it. It's a big
win for the boss and we here at NCRC are giving him a big "atta boy" for showing everyone
how to get er' done!
Marty would like to thank all his team and Mike Duffy for building a great
chassis and all his help.

Kevin McCurdy can put
another notch in his belt after the Atlanta NMCA race September 15th. McCurdy defeated
Randall Chester and Vinny Budano prior to his final round match up with George
Landis.
McCurdy cut a great light
against Landis and went 6.626@214.62 which easily defeated Landis who had a .098 light and a
6.824@181.67 package.
Congratulations Kevin on another great victory!

Andy Frost has set a new UK Street
Eliminator record of 7.87@188.53 on BFG Radials! Frost, who also owns the 7.68 pump gas
record on MT Drag Radials, was competing at Shakespeare County Raceway in the UK when he
shattered the record.
During qualifying Andy reset the record
the first time with a 8.01@185 pass which put him in the top spot with a wide .40 margin
between him and the 2nd place qualifier. Later during eliminations he ran a 7.87@188.53,
then backed it up with a 7.89@188.4. Unfortunately all that record breaking got Frosty a bit
too keyed up as he went red .017 in the semifinals.
"I want to
thank Marty for an awesome converter that just keeps on working whatever we throw at
it...." Andy Frost
|
Andy says he's still in the hunt for the
Street Eliminator Championship and look for him to lower the world pump gas record again
during the European finals at Santa Pod Raceway end of September. Andy's sure got Red Victor
flying on those BFG's!! - Way to go Frosty!!

Charlie Booze Jr. and
Booze Brothers Racing have been busy keeping fans on the edge of their seats at NMRA events
this season, and the Atco race was no exception. Booze, who qualified #4 was right on the
heals of the top 3 qualifiers with only a 22 thousandth spread between them leading up to
eliminations. With such tight racing all the drivers knew they had to lay it all on the line
to find any advantage they could. In the final round it was Booze vs. Justin Curry, both had
to give the tree all they had and that's what they did. Charlie pulled out a .010 light
against Justin's -.015 redlight but both kept their foot in it and ran nose to nose 8.86
passes!.
The win moves Charlie Booze Jr. into 2nd
place in the very tightly contested NMRA Edelbrock Hot Street class... Congratulations
Charlie!!!

Manny Buginga captured

pass. Manny solidly defeated a troubled Travis Franklin in the final round with a
7.614@189.15 vs Franklin's 11.146@82.86. Congratulations on another Victory Team

DeCerbo's new McCamis built Camaro is continuing to make waves. DeCerbo put down some wicked
numbers for a Nitrous car at the Norwalk Door Wars race and took home the win. The Canfield,
OH native solidly defeated Carl Rossler of Rossler Transmissions in the final round with a
4.135@173.92 vs Rossler's 4.64@139.65.
DeCerbo, an IHRA Top Sportsman
racer started shaking things up last year with a win in NSCA Pro Street in his old 63 Vette
which got Pat Musi's attention real fast. Competitors better watch out for this car as it
60's every bit as good if not better (rumored sub-sub 1-second) than the hard launching
Vette! Way to go John -

The Team of Harold Caldwell (owner) and
Charlie Doblin (driver) had a great race day at Cecil County's Street Car Shootout June 2nd.
Doblin Qualified #1 with a 7.17@199 in their nitrous gulping 1990 Mustang.
In the semi finals against
Rodney Bitgood, Doblin laid down a new Cecil County track record for an Outlaw 10.5 car,
7.08@210! Team Caldwell also took home the win, defeating Joe Newsham with a 7.10@197 vs.
Newsham's 8.815@112 aborted pass.
Caldwell's Mustang is powered by
a 728 Fulton BBC on Nitrous running a Bruno/Lenco combo behind a Neal Chance Ultralight
ProMod Converter. The Team is sponsored by Caldwell Construction, CD Race Cars, Vanishing
Point Race cars, Jiffy Lube, Fulton Racing Engines, HP Marine, NerdsRus, Boccella's Auto and

The racing action in the ORSCA Series is
undisputedly some of the toughest in the country. NCRC customers not only qualified, they
dominated the recent ORSCA race in Atlanta on May 20th with wins in Outlaw 10.5, Limited
Street and EZ Street.
Mike "The Hitman" Hill defeated
Chuck Ulsch in Outlaw 10.5 with a 4.754@155.06 in a close race. Hill qualified 6th in a very
competitive 24 car field. Also in Outlaw 10.5 Tim Lynch, another NCRC customer, came close to reseting the MPH
record during qualifying with a 4.47@178.83 blistering 1/8 mile pass which put him in the #3
qualifiying position but was unable to repeat the performance to make it an official
record.
Darrin Hoyle put his beautiful
red 69 Camaro in the #1 qualifying spot in the hypercompetitive 11 car Limited Street field
by posting a 4.801@156.72 up on the boards. In the final round Hoyle defeated another NCRC
customer, Keith Szabo, with a 4.988@153.65 vs. Szabo's 5.037@158.50. The bankers in
Taylorsville, North Carolina are getting used to seeing Hoyle on Monday mornings!

Andy Frost has reset the World Record for Pump Gas
again with a blazing 7.68@188.98 on MT Drag Radials!
Frost, aka "Frosty" races in the UK
Street Eliminator class in his Vauxhall VX4/90 FD powered by a BBC with a set of twin
turbos. The class he races in requires a 25 mile cruise, hot restarts, DOT Tires and has to
fill up at the pump with 93 Octane Shell V power fuel.
Andy says there's a lot more left in the
car when he starts getting serious with the boost, so look for him to blow this record away
again soon. Congratulations on the new record pass Andy!!

Neal Chance is anxiously awaiting the results of the
final round of the NMRA Reynolds race which was halted due to rain.
NCRC customer and distributor Keith Neal (Neal Racing Transmissions) is sitting in the final round vs
Tim Essick in Outlaw 10.5. Keith set low ET in his class with 7.142@196.07 which is really
saying something with a car that was rebuilt over the winter. Rumors are this car has a LOT
left in it, combined with Neal's trigger skills he's going to be a force to contend with
this year in NMRA Outlaw 10.5 and other regional races.

passes against him!

final rounds will be completed at the next NMRA National Event at Milan Dragway June

NCRC customers Manny Buginga and
John "Fireball" Urist packed a Neal Chance 1-2 punch in Super Street Outlaw during the 6th
Annual NMRA Spring Ford Nationals in Bradenton Florida.
In early testing Thursday
Buginga had the entire SSO fields "undivided attention" when he put up a devastating pass of
7.45@193.50 right off the trailer. In official qualifying Friday SSO World Champion John
Urist set the pace early on with a 7.605 followed up by Buginga's #1 qualifying pass of
7.537.
Both racers cleaned the table on
opposite sides of the ladder and meet up in the finals for a highly anticipated blower vs.
turbo showdown. Buginga lost his transmission right after launch handing Urist his first win
of the 2007 season. An awesome race day for TEAM NCRC! Way to go guys!

first race with NDRA/NOPI, he ended moving his way up to the finals where he faced Chris
Anderson of Suwanee, GA in his 95 Toyota Supra. Martin put the hurt to Anderson with a

11th Craig Miller won his first Outlaw 10.5 race of the 2007 season at Shadyside Dragway's
6th Annual Garland Buff Memorial Race. Miller qualified 7th in his newly rebuilt Camaro with
a 4.55 then proceeded to take out Hartley and a broken Steve Kirk on his way to the
semifinals. Continuing to improve on each pass, Miller next defeated Ulsch with a holeshot
win putting him in the finals opposite Jack Barfield.
Despite Barfield's killer .001 light, Miller who had a .088 light, marched on down the
track and reeled him in at half track and finished with a nose to nose finish. Miller went
4.540@165.76 vs. Barfields lightning fast light but slower 4.636 ET.

It's got to be incredibly
satisfying to bring a new car out and at your first race take home the win! That's
exactly what Dave Bowman did at the 9th annual PSCA Winternationals race in the Wild
Street Class.
It's no small feat to bring a new car out
and qualify #3 with an 8.42@169, then go on to set a new personal best of 8.19@175.98 in
eliminations - especially when you are doing it on the little Mickey Thompson 275/60 Drag
Radials. Dave not only accomplished that, but he also took on Levi Hanna in the finals and
showed him the faster way down the track with a 8.231@175 to Hanna's wheelstanding 8.70@168
pass.
Congratulations Dave on the success with
your new car and your first win in her from the gang at Neal Chance Racing
