During qualifying fellow NCRC competitor Mel Nelson set the stage running 4.58@173 which got him #1 Qualifier, and Thompson landed #3 with a 4.728@166.85. Nelson dropped out in the 2nd round when a wheelie cost him the round. In the final, Thompson defeated Chad Opaleski in his big Nitrous powered 66 Chevelle when Chad's car backfired, handing an easy win to Thompson who ran it out the back door anyway with a 4.71@163 blast.

In Wild Street George Raygoza from Orland, California went to the winners circle after defeating Frank Vasela of Albuquerque New Mexico. Both racers had great reaction times in the final, but Vasela had problems running 6.934@68.90 which was no match for Raygoza's 6.415@130.83.

Congratulations George on your SCSN Win!

We also want to give a shout out to Doug Sikora who runnered up in Outlaw 10.5. Sikora caught a bad light in his final round appearance against Mike Murillo who chopped the tree down with a .009. Sikora had a stronger pass running 4.309 over Murillo's 4.378, but couldn't make up the difference at the tree. Robbie Blankenship also runnered up in Hot Street, was the #1 Qualifier, ran Low ET and Top MPH but also lost the final due to a holeshot by Colorado's Rod Dewild. - Congrat's fellas on a strong showing!

THOMASON WINS MAKO CHAMPIONSHIP
Seals 2010 Championship with one race to spare

Travis Thomason - 2010 MAKO Series Champion
T

ravis Thomason (aka Quaz) had a very good season running the MAKO Ten Five series. He won 4 out of 6 races putting a commanding lead over his closest competition. Not only was Travis fast, but he was a model of consistency, which everyone knows is a deadly combination. No stranger to the final round in MAKO, Thomason was #2 in last years points battle.

Travis started out the 2010 season when by dropping a few jaws at the SGMP race back in March. The little BBC Stang snuck in and popped off the first 4 second pass under the 275 class rules!. Travis qualified #1 but the killer air nipped a piston causing the Morrison Construction Racing Team to pull an all nighter changing pistons. The next day in eliminations he got knocked out early due to a hole shot... Guess that's what happens when you stay up for a couple days! No matter what, he put Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on the map at that race and continues to be the man to beat in MAKO Ten Five.

Congratulations Travis on your 2010 MAKO Championship!

Thanks for a great product! - Steve Burger

You guys certainly have!! Congratulations Mo, Steve Burger and the Mo Hall Racing Team!

CHRISTIAN SETS ORLANDO TRACK RECORD
Runs a 6.22 during World Street Nationals

Tony Christian Sets Orlando Track Record 6.22
T

ony Christian set a new Super Pro Street Record during the 2010 World Street Nationals at Orlando. The Veteran Doorslammer racer ran a 6.225@223 during qualifying which placed him in the #1 qualifer spot, but later had an unfortunate incident and traded paint with the guardrail, putting him out of the race early.

We talked to Tony the other day and he thinks there was a 6.15 in the car but they ran out of time to really lay the smack down at Orlando, much to his competitors relief! Christian says his new All Billet Converter is "Awesome" and we're happy to have him as a member of the Neal Chance Team.

Congratulations Tony on the new Orlando Super Pro Street Track Record!

Remember, "If you don't have a Neal Chance, you don't stand a chance..."

David Wolfe resets Drag Radial 1/4 Mile Record

D

avid Wolfe silenced all his critics when he made the long pull from his home in Texas to the 15th Annual U.S. Army World Cup at MIR November 6th . As expected, he not only laid down some impressive numbers, he flat slaughtered the Drag Radial 1/4 Mile record when he ran a 6.571@227.38 blast down the cold MIR track. Wolfe, owner of Wolfe Race Craft in Texas, previously set the 1/8th mile record earlier this year when he went 4.403 @ SGMP.

The "Master of tire speed" got a bit too aggressive during eliminations and was defeated by Alex Vrettos in an all NCRC matchup when Wolfe spun a bit, and one hickup was all it took for Vrettos to slip away, he ran a 6.94@211 over Wolfe's hot on his heels 7.11@221.

In the final round NCRC customer Dave Hinzman, who previously ran his first 6 second pass with ProCharger Power, lost out to John Carter when his Mustang deceided to stand up and he had to pedal, Carter took the win running 6.95@215 vs Hinzman's 7.99@130.

Tom Kasper, MIR Outlaw 10.5 Winner

In Outlaw 10.5, Tom Kasper took home a nice win defeating Tim Essick in the final round with a 6.35@228, the fastest every for Tom, and a difficult task to run ET's like that with the track temps being cold!

Congratulations David on a spectacular record breaking run, Hinzman on his new personal best & r/u, Alex and Team Corrupt on taking out the baddest dude in Drag Radial, and Tom Kasper on his win in Outlaw 10.5! What a weekend guys!

ene Kerr captured the Super Pro Street crown at this years World Street Nationals! Gene defeated Halvor Hansen Jr. in the final round with a hole shot... he chopped the tree down with a .031 letting his 7.01 beat Hansen's quicker 6.81 ET!

In a display of great sportsmanship, Gene waited on Jeff Lutz who was having problems during the 2nd round of eliminations far more than necessary, then went on to beat Lutz after he got his car going. Lutz broke his drivetrain and Gene went on to the semi finals.

Way to go Gene!! Congrat's on the win and the killer light!

Mel Nelson Orlando Drag Radial Winner

In Drag Radial Mel Nelson took home a big win at Orlando by defeating Kenny Markwich in a final round pedal fest. Nelson totally dominated his class at Orlando recording Low ET (7.407) and Top MPH (217.49) to secure the #1 qualifier for the event.

Orlando was the last in a string of victories for Nelson, who has really been on a roll over the last few months recording a R/U at ORTC SGMP, a win at Bradenton and another win at The Shakedown at E'town....what a way to end the season!

Congratulations Mel on your Orlando win and a very successful season!

D

an Millen came from behind this year in ADRL Xtreme Ten Five but over the last few months has really got his program together and has been very hard to beat. At the ADRL Ennis race he consistently laid down every pass between a 3.84 and 3.85 - crazy consistency for a Xtreme Ten Five car - and everyone knows what that means... They aren't even leaning on it yet!

Millen, who was the first to in the 3.70's earlier this year, was on a roll this weekend in Texas. He defeated Gary White in the final to claim not only his first class win and fastest pass to date (201.16 mph), but also the ADRL World Championship Title!

Congratulations Dan and Team Al-Anabi Racing on the Championship!

We also want to congratulate John Decerbo on his new personal best in Pro Nitrous at Ennis, John ran a 3.911@187.99!

Wolfe redefines Outlaw Drag Radial, goes 4.403 new record AND wins

When David Wolfe unloaded at SGMP his fans had high expectations of the Current Drag Radial Record holder, and he did not disappoint! The Wolfe Man qualified himself in the #1 position and redefined Outlaw Drag Radial in qualifying when he broke his previous record running a 4.403!!!

Wolfe took his performance advantage all the way to the "All NCRC" final round where he meet up with Mel Nelson, who himself had been running some VERY strong numbers (4.48@170) in previous rounds. In what was shaping up to be a very close race, Nelson stood the car up and had to lift while Wolfe motored right on down the track, 4.42@179 vs Nelson's 5.03.

Way to go David! Congrat's on the race win and new Outlaw Drag Radial World Record! Also congrat's to Mel Nelson on the R/U and new personal best passes!

Also prop's to Eric Dillard and Todd Berry who significantly stepped up their game at SGMP. The team bolted on radials and bigger turbos for this race, and with little testing ended up running a new personal best pass of 4.48!

The Lynch Mob proved they could turn the power down enough to make the new Vette work - despite less than perfect track conditions. Running well off pace, the team defeated Rob Wells in the final 4.32@183 over Wells who spun at half track running a 4.79.

Congratulations Tim and Steve on yet another Victory!

teven Fereday reset the World Record for LSX powered car at the October NMCA LSX Shootout at Gateway International Speedway when in the semi-finals the team went 7.24@209 mph!

Not only did he reset the record at this event, they were also #1 Qualifier and went all the way to the final round. Despite loosing high gear clutches in the Transmission, Fereday still won the shootout. That's what we call domination, no other word for it!

Fereday's Stock Suspension Camaro is powered by a LSX 427ci engine with a set of GT4788 turbos that tips the scales at 3480lbs. Late Model Racecraft in Houston, Texas, Steve's company, built the car from the ground up.

Baskin regardless of the final round loss had plenty of points to finish the season with the Pro Stock Championship, his 2nd in a row!!

Congratulations Greg on your win, and Skip on the 2010 Pro Stock Championship!

odd Tutterow decided to do some testing with the latest in Neal Chance Converter Technology, the Full Billet Converter that's been breaking records all over the country from ADRL Extreme 10.5, Outlaw 10.5, Outlaw Drag Radial and many other classes.

Tutterow's team did some testing at a local track with their ADRL Pro Extreme Camaro just recently. First pass they blew the tires off, so they pulled bunch a of power out for the next pass and whoa baby!!! .909 60' with a 3.67@207 with "ease", and that's not on a National event prepped track either!

Todd says he can't wait for Texas... and we can't either!!! Make sure to keep your eyes on Tutterow at the ADRL World Finals in Ennis, Texas October 23rd. Will this be the 1st ADRL Pro Exteme car to lay down a .80 60' ???

onrad Scarry was out in force at Bowling Green showing everyone he was there to kick butt and take names. Scarry grabbed the #1 spot in qualifying with a 6.773, then turned the wick up for round one blasting out a record breaking 6.576 @ 215.96 pass during his first round bye run. Mike Murillo made it to the finals to challenge Scarry but didn't bring enough. Scarry ran 6.630@213.64 and Murillo missed the setup going 8.497 hunting for cones. The win put Scarry at the top of the points for the season final for his second Championship in NMRA Pro Outlaw!

Congratulations Conrad and crew on the win, new record and 2010 Championship!!!

Super Street Outlaw

Urist wins sixth NMRA CHampionship

John Urist came into Bowling Green trailing John MacDonald by 175 points in Super Street Outlaw, but that didn't deter him one bit. Urist concentrated on winning the race and knew the points would follow. He started out by qualifying #3 with a 7.387 and loaded up his bracket racing tune up. 1st round he got a single when Burleson broke and went 7.389, later he defeated Travis Franklin, then drew Chip Havemann for the final round after his points challenger McDonald had to hang it up due to repeated parts failure. If anything Urist's competitors have learned, never count this guy out, especially when he's coming from behind. The Bowling Green win awarded Urist enough points to cement his SIXTH Back to Back NMRA SSO Championship!!

Many congratulations John on the race win, and your 6th SSO Championship!

Hot Street

Hot Street Winner Charlie Booze, Resets Record and takes Championship

Charlie Booze Jr. lead qualifying on both days with a best of 8.443 at 154.63 to firmly cement himself in the #1 position for eliminations. Charlie came into this race leading Don Bowles by a slim margin, but as the race played out, Booze widened that points lead significantly. Booze defeated Bowles in the finals when he pulled a record setting 8.387@160.06 out of his pocket while Bowles struggled in the other lane watching Booze pull away for the win.

Congratulations Charlie on your race win, new Hot Street Record and 2010 Championship!!

Thanks to all our NMRA racers for your business and congratulations on your class records and championships this year!!!

SHAKEDOWN @ E'TOWN RECORDS SMASHED

Outlaw 10.5

Lynch Mob wins Shakedown, sets new Outlaw 10.5 World Record
T

im Lynch and Steve Petty did not disappoint fans at the Shakedown, in true Lynch Mob fashion they blew away their own 6.400@224 record recorded at the 2009 event during qualifying with a 6.263@232.51!! What else can you say but WOW!! ?? Lynch's incrementals were 1.109, 2.831, 4.158, 186.74, 5.295, 6.263@232.51 which also breaks the 1/8 Mile World Record as well!

It's amazing how much faster these cars run every year...

Lynch faced Joe Newsham in a "All NCRC" final round - both teams were facing worse track conditions both had turned the cars down some during eliminations to make sure and get down the track, and both had ran a 6.47 in previous passes - so this looked like a nail biter of a final. Of course both turned them back up a bit for the final round which resulted in Lynch getting down the track with a 6.30@226 over Newsham's "hope it will hold this" tune up which didn't, 7.51@145 aborted pass.

We've also got to give a shout out to TJ Kasper who was hot on Lynch's heals during qualifying with a 6.39@230. TJ's been tearing the competition up lately at Cecil and area tracks.

Congrats to Tim Lynch and Steve Petty on the win and new Outlaw 10.5 World Record, and to Joe Newsham on the R/U!!!

Drag Radial

Paul Major breaks Drag Radial Record at 2010 Shakedown

Paul Major made his competitors jaws drop in Drag Radial when he ripped off a 6.743@223.62 BLAST during round 2 of qualifying, but unfortunately hurt some parts taking him out of competition for the rest of the event. At least this time he didn't hurt any body parts, and did get to go home with the satisfaction of setting a new Drag Radial World Record Paul's incrementals on the record breaking pass were 1.205, 3.086, 4.519@176.53, 5.730, and 6.743 @223.62! That's an incredible performance on an almost brand new setup which the first time out was the Yellowbullet Nationals.

Mel Nelson Wins Drag Radial at 2010 Shakedown

Mel Nelson picked up the NCRC Torch and carried it to the final where he was to face John Carter for a yet another NCRC customer final round, but Carter didn't make the call. Mel ran it out the backdoor regardless laying down a VERY respectable 6.85@223 run taking the Shakedown win, and adding him to the very short list of Drag Radial Racers in the 6 second zone.

Congratulations Mel on your big win and six second pass, and to Paul Major on his new World Record!

Heavy Street

Heavy Street Shakedown Winner Sam Gottier

Sam Gottier had his Chevelle setup in bracket mode running multiple 6.90 passes, and he apparently didn't change a thing for the finals. He easily defeated Mitch George in the final round of Heavy Street with a stout 6.91@198 over George's 7.57@141.

Congratulations Sam!!

Congratulations to all our Shakedown at E'town racing customers on your wins, runner-ups and new world records!

eith Szabo runnered up in Limited Street at the Holcomb Fall Civil Wars race in Rockingham. He went a 4.659 @ 169.55 2nd Round Of Qualifying for the #1 position, and ran a 4.639@169 the previous evening for a new personal best pass. This race was one of the few that he hasn't won this year, with 9 wins this season, and 4 runner ups - nothing anyone in this sport would gripe about. Turns out Keith's mean Mustang has been wanting to stand up and bark at the moon now that the air is getting cooler, and with the bars are off for this race it was being a bit unpredictable resulting in the win this time going to his competitor Brian Mcgee.

Congratulations to Keith on the Runner Up and new personal best pass!

treme Ten Five was the Neal Chance show at the Ohio ADRL Ohio Drags IV! With many of the cars in the class sporting the new light weight billet Neal Chance Converter, it was a given that one of them would be in the finals once again.

In qualifying, Dan Millen once again broke the XTF record with a blazing fast 3.780@204 for a new World Record on 10.5 tires! He then ran through eliminations like a bracket car dialed in on 3.82@202. Chuck Ulsch who was the #2 Qualifier with the top MPH of 204 was also on a mission.

As eliminations progressed, both Ulsh and Millen came face to face in the final round. Millen, the worlds quickest with a 3.78 in his pocket against Ulsch, the worlds fastest with his 206 MPH machine made for a much anticipated final. Millen got a stroke of bad luck drawing a .009 red light against Ulsch who took the win. We can bet running a 3.78 made the final round defeat a little easier on Millen and crew however!

In Pro Nitrous, NCRC Customers also had a strong showing by customers equiped with the lastest light weight billet aluminum Neal Chance Converters, with three cars (Decerbo, Reisterer and Mauney) in the top half of the field.

In the make up for the Rockingham race, Xtreme Ten Five headliner Spiro Pappas took home the win in an All NCRC Final over Brad Brand who was making his first final round ADRL appearance in XTF. Doug Reisterer won Pro Nitrous with a 4.09 over Stan Allen! Friday's win put Reisterer 10th in Pro Nitrous points.

Congratulations to all our ADRL racing customers on your wins, runner-ups and records!

ANOTHER ALL KASPER FINAL AT CECIL
T

om Kasper and Son TJ Kasper are a frequent sight in the winners circle at Atco New Jersey's Outlaw 10.5 class, and this weekend was no exception. TJ started off in the best fashion possible by taking a win in Outlaw 10.5 for a rain make up race from 2 months back, then he got busy qualifying and ended up #2 at 4.413, and his Dad Tom in the #1 Qualifier position with a 4.354. As luck would have it, both wound up in the final round facing each other once again. and this time TJ drove the wheels off running a 4.30 on and off the gas over Tom's 4.35 in a close bumper to bumper finish. Both cars ran in the 4.30's all day, which is going to make both of them some tough competition at the upcoming Shakedown event!

Congratulations to TJ for the win, Tom on the R/U and the Gil Christy Motorsports Team for all their hard work!

ric Dillard and Car Owner Todd Berry reset the ORSCA Limited Street record at the September 19th Montgomery race. Dillard went 4.69@173.040 during qualifying which broke their own previous record of 171.42. Unfortunately, during eliminations things didn't go well during 1st round and they didn't get a chance to make a run for the finals - we all know how that one goes! Regardless, the team got to come home with a new record for their efforts that weekend and not many will gripe about that.

Congratulations to Eric and Todd on breaking the MPH record once again!

nzo Pecchini really streched the limits of what's possible with the ProCharger F1R September 19th at Toronto Motorsports Park in Canada. We believe this is likely a new EZ Street record for OSCA, and it's even slightly faster than the current NMRA Drag Radial record of 7.891. Either way, it's flying with the small blower everyone would have to agree!

Enzo also runnered up at the NMRA Columbus race September 3rd in EZ Street.

Congratulations Enzo!!

Gary Vance, in the third time out for his new S10 truck, wowed the crowd and dropped competitors jaws in qualifying when he laid down a 4.3944@166.98 resulting in a new track record. When these guys get the bugs worked out of that truck it's going to be very tough to outrun!

Congratulations to Darrell on the big win and Gary Vance on the new record!!

Unfortunately, mother nature decided to rain on the ADRL race ending the weekend early, it's too bad as everyone was waiting to see the outcome after all the fast passes in qualifying. ADRL notes this race will be concluded in Norwalk, OH on September 24th-25th - so we'll have to wait a while to see the outcome.

Congratulations to Dan and the Al-Anabi Racing Crew on an outstanding performance and the new World record!

W

ith Tim Lynch behind the wheel, and Steve Petty on the Laptop, the Lynch Mob lived up to their reputation at the 1st Yellow Bullet Nationals at Cecil County September 4th.

The Team's new Pro Line Powered Vette is proving to be one hot machine in Outlaw 10.5. The black beauty dropped jaws at Cecil prior to the race when they laid down a 4.177@183.27 during testing! Proving it was no fluke, they flat dominated the 32 car Outlaw 10.5 field by qualifying #1, and laying down bracket like passes in the 4.20's all day long.

In the final it was Lynch vs Joe Schroeder, both got loose, but Joe more so and had to abort the run (with a great save) while Lynch still ran a 4.51@161.29. That's two races and two wins for the new car!

Congratulations to Tim Lynch and Steve Petty!!

We would like to also give a shout out to Mo Hall who ran his best ever pass at the YB Nationals of a 4.35@177 in his Camaro! Also to Joe Newsham who ran a new career best of 4.28!! Outstanding... Way to go guys!

DILLARD/BERRY GO 4.53 AT YB NATIONALS
New World Record on TT5's

Dillard/Berry go 4.53@174.41
T

odd Berry and Eric Dillard made an impression at the September 4th Yellow Bullet Nationals by covering the field by over a tenth during qualifying and breaking the world record for True Ten Five tire in the process. The Berry Motorsports Team laid down a 4.538@174.41 to take the #1 Qualifier position in Outlaw Drag Radial at the big event, breaking the World Record of 4.55 (previously set by Berry Motorsports) in the process.

Dillard was looking good in eliminations until he got up against fellow NCRC Customer Paul Major in the 2nd round where he drew a .009 red light which ended his day early. However there's no doubt that 4.53 pass will be on everyone's mind during future Outlaw Drag Radial events! There's no doubt there's more in that car when you look at the 1.23 60' on that pass - look for some 4.40's very soon from this team...

Congratulations to Berry Motorsports - Todd Berry and Eric Dillard on your new personal best!

eith Szabo might have to add on another addition to his Trophy room soon, as he seems to have a passion for collecting NHRA Wallys! Szabo seized his 2nd back to back Limited Street win at NHRA Unleashed in Indy on August 7th.

Everyone said that it was a tough track to get down at this race, but for a veteran L/S Racer like Szabo, he already had a plan based on years of experience racing on hot, slick tracks, which took him to the top of the qualifying ladder with a 4.833@163.67. In the finals he was able to run pass after pass with bracket car consistency landing him in the final round with Kevin Scott. Szabo soundly defeated Scott, who had a sweet .005 holeshot but his 4.935@153.89 was no match for Szabo's 4.779@164.85 Low ET setting pass..

Congratulations to Keith on your win and 2nd NHRA Wally!

Thanks Marty for spending the time with me on the phone and getting it. ”

After battling a hot track all day, Travis beat Keith Lopez in an "ALL NCRC" final and took advantage of a slightly cooler track temp. Lopez worked hard at getting all the boost he could find before staging, but it cost him on the tree letting Thomason get out on him. Thomason made another consistent straight pass that he is known for and Lopez had to lift after finding a little too much power for the track.

Congratulations Travis on the win and Keith on you first MAKO runner up!

Scarry defeated Mike Murillo easily in the final round 6.900@204.58 to Murillo's abandoned run of 11.8220@71.42. This win will put Scarry way out in front of the pack in points giving him plenty of breathing room for a run at the 2010 Pro Outlaw Championship.

Congratulations Conrad on the new record and race win!!!

om Kasper and his Son TJ Kasper had a good weekend at Cecil County on June 5th.

Tom Kasper, the #1 Qualifier, showed the old dog is still tough to beat when he met up with his Son TJ in the Outlaw 10.5 "All Kasper" and "All NCRC" Final. Dad took home the win while TJ went up in smoke downtrack missing yet another chance to take out his Dad.

Congrat's Tom and TJ- that's awesome seeing Father & Son in a final like that!!

Parent, who was the #2 qualifier, easily defeated David Beason in the final round when Beason broke something in his transmission. This was a much needed win for Parent to get back into the points chase.

Skip Baskin, the 2009 Pro Stock Champion, continues to be the man to beat in NMCA Mean Street... However you can bet he's going to be challenged often this year with the entry of Don Baskin's new 2010 Camaro driven by Greg Delaney. Baskin and Delaney were the #1 and #2 qualifiers respectively at Maple Grove and the team mates joined up for an "All NCRC" and "All Baskin" final.

Baskin took the win over Delaney in a very close final running a 8.586@154.28 vs Delaney's 8.600@156.65.

ohn DeCerbo proved how an experienced racer can start from scratch with a new car and have it running the number in record time.

With only a few test hits on the teams brand new Tim McAmis built 68 Camaro, DeCerbo hauled to Petersburg, Virginia May 22nd for the ADRL US Drags III to run in Pro Nitrous. First pass off the trailer netted him a 4.024@183.79 in first round of qualifying. The second pass he ran a 3.998@184.90 - the first three second pass for an automatic car in ADRL Pro Nitrous!!! Unfortunately a broken flexplate lead to an early end to the teams race day, but you can bet they'll be back with all guns blazin' real soon....

Congratulations John & Tom - The new car is beautiful!!

In the finals Urist went 7.432@190.92 over Johnny MacDonalds 7.401@193.93, but to MacDonald's dismay, Urist chopped the tree down to take home the win!

ravis Thomason collected the winners check in MAKO Real Street at the Throwdown in T-Town race May 8th. Thomason defeated Joe Gilbert in an "All NCRC" final, 5.117@142.07 to Gilbert's spinning 5.463@108.30 in what would have been a very close race had Joe hooked up better! Both cars are sponsored by Gilbert's Morrison Construction Company out of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Thomason got quite a few racers attention earlier this year at the SGMP Lights Out race in Georgia when he was the first to the 4's in the Extreme Street Class. The "Silver Bullet" was favored to win, but unfortunately Travis missed the tune up slightly in eliminations due to the big swings in weather conditions.

Thomason was the last years points runner up in MAKO and it starting the season off with a big head start over last years Points Champion Clint Downs.

Congratulations Travis and Team!

Moyer qualified 3rd and defeated Gary White in the final round 4.02@195.36 to White's 4.94 troubled pass. The wet weather provided a challanging racing surface for all the ADRL Racers, but Moyer was able to adapt and make a clean pass in the final.

lint Lonon told us his new NCRC All Billet Aluminum converter was well worth it, and we can see why - Clint recently set the record in ORTC Ultimate Street for Small Block / NOS Combos when he ran 5.13@136 with a a single plate and 275 Drag Radials at the SGMP race in Georgia.

He then traveled further south March 27th to run the SHRA Southern Heads Up Shootout at PBIR. Although the rules for the race didn't favor his combination, and despite struggling with the chassis setup, the team pulled out a solid win in the Real Street Class defeating John Bassell in the finals. Lonon is going to be tough to beat this year!

Congratulations Clint and Crew!!

In Nostalgia Pro Street, long term customer Barb Nesbitt captured her first win of the season in Team Midnights 1st Gen Camaro, which ironically is scheduled for retirement after Bradenton.

Nesbitt defeated Andrew Vogt in an "ALL NCRC" final when Vogt got a itchy trigger finger and left early, handing the win to Nesbitt. In typical fashion Barb ran it out the back anyway with a 7.599@177.44 pass. She'll be driving a new car at the next race that is getting finished up at Skinny Kid Race Cars.

Congrat's Barb and Team Midnight on the win!

We would also like to give a shot out to Jeff Colletta for his #1 position in qualifying... Jeff went 7.46@182 to capture the #1 spot!

Baskin's getting a new car built over at B & B Race Cars which might be a bit of a thorn in Charlie's side when it gets finished. Look for both of these tough to beat racers to be at the top of the charts in 2010...

Way to go Charlie - congrat's on the clean sweep!

Pappas went 3.883@196.39 on the record breaking attempt, and get this, he recorded a .981 60' and went 2.608 to the 330' - as Marty says that's just "Sick" ... Wow...

Congratulations Spiro and Team on the new world record!

Todd Moyer also had a significant accomplishment during the event. He became the third member of the Mickey Thompson three second club when he recorded a 3.96@196.50 pass during qualifying. Moyer joins NCRC customers Spiro Pappas and Chuck Ulsch in the exclusive club.

Conrad Scarry Sets New NMRA Pro Outlaw Record!

Conrad Scarry started off his 2010 season by breaking the Pro Outlaw 10.5 Record during qualifying round 2 with a 6.788 @ 211.96 blast!

Having the fastest car on the property helped Conrad rip through the ladder and spoil Billy Driscoll's day during eliminations when he went 6.805@206.75 over Driscoll's 7.984@ 179.31 attempt.

Congratulations Conrad! That's a great way to start 2010!!

Scarry wasn't the only NCRC customer at Bradenton setting records, John Urist became the first to the 7.20's when he recorded a 7.296@194.13 during 1st round of qualifying. John had mechanical problems later during eliminations, but you can bet the 5 time NMRA SSO Champion will be a force to be reckoned with at the next event.

Robbie Blankenship Hot Street Winner at NMRA Bradenton

Charlie Booze was also in record breaking form at Bradenton. Booze went 8.412@160.37 in round 1 qualifying and then he bettered it with a 8.408@160.85 during round 2! Looks like Charlie spent some time this winter perfecting his already amazing combination, but all that power cost him in the finals when he went up against Robbie Blankenship in an "All NCRC" final. Booze stood the car up and round out a 300' long wheelstand, but cost him ET as Blankenship kept his car down to earth running a 8.440 ET for the win.

Congratulations Robbie and Team on your win, and Charlie on your new Hot Street Record!

WOLFE BREAKS DRAG RADIAL RECORD
ORTC Lights Out Winner and Sets New World Record 4.447

David Wolfe ORTC Drag Radial Winner and World Record Holder

David Wolfe has raised the bar yet again in Drag Radial Racing by absolutely slaughtering the Drag Radial Record February 28th at the Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia race.

David made the long haul from Texas to Georgia and with very little testing, started knocking down 4.4X passes in qualifying in front of many stunned competitors.

During eliminations he made his best pass and set the new Drag Radial World Record of 4.447@175 1/8 mile - no doubt that's going to be a mark many fail to come close to for the rest of the year!!

SGMP and records falling in February seem to go hand in hand, just last year in February another NCRC customer, Kevin Fiscus, set a new record running 4.609. In the span of one year, ET's have fallen .162 and you can take it to the bank that there's ALOT more where that came from!

Wolfe, owner of Wolfe Race Craft in Fort Worth, Texas showed that he is undoubtedly a bad, bad man when it comes to running the number, but to add insult to injury, he muscled through the 32 car ladder with bracket like performance round after round. David defeated Scotty Guadagno in the final, 4.47 to 4.57 to take home the 20,000 large back to Texas.

Congratulations David on your win and new World Record!

Other records fell at SGMP as well, Francis Johnson played the lead role for the Nitrous syndicate and broke his own previous record for the Worlds Fastest Stock Suspension Nitrous Radial Car.

Johnson's car is well know to be one of the hardest leaving cars in D/R, with 1.120 60' times giving him an advantage in capturing the fastest N2O D/R pass ever with a 4.66@152!!!

"I have talked to Marty on countless occasions about our program, and several of my customers. He is always willing to spend the time, and offer his knowledge to help us get the best performance from our converters. Once again, thank you for an outstanding product and all your help. I have, and will continue to recommend your products.

Francis Johnson

Incrementals were;

1.120 60ft.
3.06 330ft.
4.66 1/8th
152.85 mph

Way to go Francis Johnson and Jamie Jordan / J & J Racing!

NCRC would also like to give props to Big Daddy who unfortunately wrecked his car at the top end during qualifying. Dewayne was fixing to break some hearts during eliminations with passes that showed 3.09 to the 330' - Not far off Wolfe's 3.02 to the 330'! We're glad he didn't get hurt, and hopefully repairs will be completed quickly so he can get back out soon.

While the majority of the United States is still shoveling snow, racing is red hot in the Mideast. In February Saud Al-Zabin from Kuwait ran his fresh Disomma powered Skinny Kid Mustang in the Qatar Racing Club Round 6 race. Saud qualified #2 with a 4.29@177.. double wow - remember this is the debut of a fresh new car! Not many can take it off the trailer and post numbers like that...

Al-Zabin tore through the ladder and ended up facing Mike "The Hitman" Hill in the "All NCRC" final round of Outlaw 10.5. Hill went 4.37 and Al-Zabin went 4.35 for the first win for their team. Look for more from team DDR when they turn it up and get it dialed in...

Congratulations to Saud Al-Zabin and the Desert Demons Racing team on your first win, very impressive job guys!
