• 8" converters are primarily used in normally aspirated race cars, for example: bracket racing applications. We can custom build an 8" converter for you in 2 weeks or less. 8" converters are available in weld together or our world famous Bolt Together Converter. Stall speeds can range from 3500 to 7500 rpm. (the light weight converter is about 6.5lbs lighter.

• 9" converters have a much larger range then the 8" converters, they can harness more power and are used in many different engine combinations. For example, normal aspirated, nitrous & centrifugal supercharged combos. Stall speeds can range from 2000 to 7800 rpm. 9" converters are available in both Weld Together and Bolt Together and Light Weight ( about 6.5 lbs lighter).

• 10" Racing Torque Converters are built in 3 stages:

  Stage 1 Regular Race - This is a first step to competition converter. We recommend this converter for non-trans brake race cars with up to 500 hp. Available in Weld Together ONLY. Stall speeds range from 2500 to 4800 rpm.
  
  Stage 2 Steel Stator - This Bad Boy is capable of handling trans brake, nitrous & blower. This converter will handle power-plants up to 1000 hp.
  Available in both Weld Together and Bolt Together. Stall speeds range from 2500 to 6500 rpm.
  
  Stage 3 Pro-Mod Torque Converter- This Is The Baddest, Strongest And The Fastest Converter In The World! This converter has NO horsepower or torque limits, along with 1 year warranty. If you can make the power, this converter will put it to the ground. This converter is recommended for 600 to 700 cubic inch nitrous motors, blown alcohol, centrifugal supercharged and turbo charged motors. With a minimum of 1700 hp. The more torque you make the better the Pro-Mod Torque Converter works. The Pro-Mod converter is available in both Weld Together, Bolt Together and Light Weight (6.5 lbs. lighter)

Q: WHY WOULD I WANT A BOLT TOGETHER
A: For Many Reasons

1. You'll never outgrow it. By purchasing another component, the converter can be changed to virtually any stall you want.
2. You can do your own preventive maintenance and freshen ups. Allowing you to keep your converter "new" virtually forever!
3. It is completely accessible at any time. If you suspect a problem, you don't have to send it half way around the country and take someone's word on repair and costs and then when it's all said and done - wondering IF there even was a problem. Instead, you can take the converter apart in minutes and see for yourself!
4. Let's say you're out of town at a big race and you break a transmission! If you don't build your own trans, there's probably a dozen guys at a big race who can. But the converter needs CLEANED and not even a power flusher can get all the contamination and debris out of a converter, especially the bearings! But with your Neal Chance Bolt Together you can take the converter apart, clean it, inspect it, and put it back together in just a matter of minutes!
5. You can have extra parts for different stalls. It's like having two or three converters in one! Ideal for racers who race at high and low altitude track and/or have more than one engine for their car, or simply fine tune your combo,etc.!
6. If you don't want to do your own annual maintenance, NCRC will service and check your Bolt Together for only $79.00! Meaning there is NO reason not to keep your converter in tip top shape.
