We’ve got some great news to share after the results of the ADRL Dragpalooza IX Season Opener at Rockingham Dragway March 10th.

Pro Extreme

The late Toney Russell would have been very proud to see Joey Martin put the LowMad back in the winner’s circle once again at The Rock, and we’re sure the new team owner David Elsberry was quite happy as well!!

Martin certainly put the hurt on his competition at the ADRL season opener with hole shot victories on both Jason Scruggs in the 1st round and #1 Qualifier Von Smith in the 2nd Round. In the Semi’s Martin defeated Richard Holt with a 3.677@205.98 which put him in the final round with Mick Snyder. In the final Snyder redlighted giving Martin an clear victory and the LowMad teams 1st victory in ADRL for the 2013 season.

Congratulations to Joey, David and the LowMad Team!!!!

Stevie Fast Jackson wins ADRL Pro Nitrous at The Rock - 2013

Pro Nitrous

Stevie “Fast” Jackson qualified #1 with a 3.782@196.04 and went to the winners circle in Pro Nitrous driving the Al-Anabi Camaro. Jackson was the fastest of every round in both qualifying and eliminations which helped him defeat his teammate Mike Castellana with a 3.771@196.50 over Catellana’s 3.813@197.48. Jackson got up to speed very fast in Pro Nitrous winning his 1st ADRL race in the US with a solid performance with a 5th round race win earlier this year in Qatar.

We’re especially proud of this win here at NCRC as this marks the 2nd race win in a row using the new Lockup Converter!!! As with any new technology there is a learning curve, not only for the manufacturers but for the Racers implementing it – so we’re really pleased to see the Al-Anabi Team get up to speed so quickly…

Congratulations to Stevie, Phil Shuler, Billy Stocklin and the Al-Anabi Racing Team!!!

Marc Meadors goes 5.759!!!

Marc Meadors and the Good Guys Racing Team laid down some impressive passes at the West Coast Outlaw Pro Mods race in Pomona March 2nd. Meadors, driving the teams “Pure Hell2” 68 Camaro has been recently switched to the NXS Converter with great results.

Marc qualified a very solid #3 with a 5.826@252.66 and was able to improve on that in eliminations. In the semi-final Marc defeated the very fast Mike Maggio running the ex-Al Anabi 68 Camaro in the fastest side by side 1/4 mile pass in WCOPMA history, Meadors went 5.759@ 252.24 over Maggio’s 5.778@256.60. In the final Marc cut the tree to close and red lighted handing the win to Dan Nickleson. That was too bad as it would have been a very close race.

What an exciting weekend for the Good Guys Racing Team! Congratulations guys on your record breaking performance!

Alex Hossler Wins Arabian Drag Racing League Championship

Alex Hossler took home the championship and secured a new world record at the Arabian Drag Racing League’s International Championships after round five, the fifth and final event in the series. Alex squeezed out fellow NCRC equipped Frankie Taylor for the points lead after winning the final round.

Hossler started off the final by qualifying #1 with a 3.553@214.01 which was very fast for the hotter and more humid conditions at this event, he backed showing it was no fluke when he ran a 3.557@213.40 in the last round of qualifying. He did not give his competition any slack during eliminations either, in the 1st round he outran Joey Martin in the Al-Anabi 69 Camaro which sealed the points lead over Taylor.

Unfortunately in the final against Mad Man Taylor, a broken transmission in Taylor’s car prevented what could have been a great final round, but Hossler did not coast for the win, instead he kept the pedal down and but down a 3.542@214.04 for the win.

This race series win also included him breaking the world Pro Extreme ET Record THREE TIMES and the MPH record once, that was no small feat and not one that will likely be reset anytime soon. The Al-Anabi team took home a reported $70,000 for their total race wins which was certainly a great pay day! Both Alex and Frankie were running the new NXS Billet Converter in their cars which is fast becoming the converter of choice in blown alcohol applications.

Big Congratulations to Alex, Billy Stocklin, Frank Manzo and Team Al-Anabi!

We also want to give a shout out to Stevie Jackson!

Billy Stocklin and Steve installed our new Lock Up Series converter in the Al-Anabi Pro Nitrous car and picked up a whopping 4 1/2 MPH and .06 ET right off the bat – that’s a healthy improvement for a first try on the combination! Jackson went on to lay down multiple 3.77’s @ 197.10 passes and took home the win in the 5th round over #1 qualifier Al-Zaabi.

Congratulations to Steve, Billy and Al-Anabi Racing Team!
